Spray drying is the most widely adopted process in liquid forming and drying industries. It is best suited for producing powdery and granular solid products from solutions, emulsions, suspensions and pasty liquid raw materials. Therefore, spray drying serves as an ideal process when the finished products must meet precise standards in particle size distribution, residual moisture content, bulk density and particle shape.

Working Principle

Air is filtered and heated before entering the air distributor at the top of the dryer. Hot air flows into the drying chamber uniformly in a spiral pattern. The feed liquid is atomized into extremely fine droplets by the high-speed centrifugal atomizer installed at the top of the tower. The droplets come into contact with hot air in a co-current flow and are dried into finished products within a very short time. Finished products are continuously discharged from the bottom of the drying tower and the cyclone separator, while waste gas is exhausted by the fan.
